Interests

Conservation genetics, environmental DNA (eDNA) and metabarcoding methods and applications, characterization of population structure, endangered species, Anostraca, Notostraca, wetland ecology, interpretation of genetic data for management, conservation, and policy issues

Research

I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Ecology studying and developing eDNA approaches for non-invasive monitoring of California vernal pool ecosystems. I am using metabarcoding and CRISPR-based technology to inventory vernal pools on USFWS national wildlife refuge lands.
