About Us

In the Genomic Variation Laboratory, students, staff, and PI's use genetic and genomic tools to answer ecological and evolutionary questions about fish and wildlife species, particularly California native species. Most of our projects have direct relevance to the conservation and management of wild populations. We work with numerous stakeholders, particularly state, federal, and tribal resource management agencies, providing students an opportunity to collaborate with government and non-profit biologists. Check out our website for more information abut who we are and what we do!
